I made a regular notification function for information from the trend repository on github, and this is a series that introduces the interesting repositories that I discovered through it. This time, I will introduce a repository called home-assistant.
Open source home automation. It seems that DIY lovers all over the world are working hard to develop it. By connecting with a home assistant such as Alexa or google assistant, you can open and close electricity and doors, operate TV and air conditioner from the UI of the web. The supported home assistants are as follows. I'd really like to try it out, but since I don't have a home assistant and no smart home appliances in my house, I'll show you how to operate the demo provided. If you have a home assistant, please give it a try and introduce it.
The demo page is here. First of all, it is a demo that controls the ON / OFF of electricity. You can control the electricity in your house by pressing the electricity mark in the upper right room or by moving the slide bar on the left. It seems that the air conditioner can be controlled by the number in the room. By pressing the camera mark, you can check the outside situation in conjunction with the outdoor camera. Sounds pretty interesting!
It's a demo, but I shared what I tried. If you have a smart assistant and smart appliances, I think it's worth a try! It seems to be fun to be able to freely move the equipment in the house from anywhere in the house, or even outside the house.
