Make Docker in Docker Toolbox accessible as localhost

Purpose

I want to be able to access Docker in Docker Toolbox at http: // localhost: 8888

Method

Use VirtualBox port forwarding. For example, forwarding the connection to localhost port 8888 to port 80 of the VM.

procedure

• Open Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager
• Right-click on a Docker Toolbox virtual machine to bring up the context menu
• Show Settings in the context menu that appears
• Select Network from the left menu of the displayed Settings screen.
• Show the port forwarding in the altitude settings on the adapter 1 tab of the displayed network screen
• Add new rules on the displayed Port Forwarding screen
