This is the story of the end of a man who fell in love with the HP Envy x360 13 at first sight and bought it without doing any preliminary research. Actually, I think it's better to write on a blog, but since there is no blog, I will borrow this place for the time being.

There are many charms such as.
For example, although it is limited to Windows, it is [^ 1] convertible, in short, it can be used like a tablet, but I was really impressed about it. If you have a pen etc., you can quickly draw without stress when you want to come up with an appropriate idea or leave a memo.
[^ 1]: Even Linux can be used if the driver is available.
The IPS panel is also very clean, and the characters look very nice despite the small screen. With this alone, the tension has already exploded. The point that it is bezel-less is also good. However, unlike my imagination, it is a pity that the black edge that is separate from the lid frame was a little thick.
The thinness is terrible. It's thicker than a slightly larger (thick) smartphone, and can be treated almost like a tablet. Is it okay if it's too thin? It was a level I thought.
It looks good. Stylish design with cool logo. It's not the logo that is often found on laptops.
I originally wanted a laptop for programming, so I bought it with Arch Linux and Debian.
However, it seems that the lid module is special, and even if I try various methods (inserting a driver, playing with ʻacpid, playing with GRUB, playing with kernel parameters, etc.), I end up closing the lid and doing something. I couldn't take the action. In the first place, ʻacpid
did not recognize the opening and closing of the lid for some reason.
There was also the problem of not getting up after suspending (sleeping). I don't know why, but I think it's also a hardware issue.
Some of these information sites also complained of similar symptoms.
I thought it was a pretty good category for a laptop. I think it's pretty good for people who mainly use Windows. However, I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to buy Linux on the assumption that it will be installed.
