Not only can you get ahead of the Java core story and its peripheral technologies, but there are also many sessions that even beginners of Java can easily participate in, so it is such an event that anyone can participate in. At the very least, this is one of the events that I would like to attend in a year.
This is Java's largest event in Japan, which is held every year by Oracle Japan. People from the US headquarters and Java Champion [^ 3] will be on stage to hear valuable stories. At this year's JDT2018 [^ 4], Mark Reinhold was supposed to come to Japan for the first time, but ... [I can't come](https:: //twitter.com/itakash/status/984027709662744576?s=03) That's right. It is very disappointing. "Java Day Tokyo 2013" was the first time I attended a Java event. On the spot, JJUG Chairman Suzuki introduced JJUG, and I started to participate in JJUG Night Seminar and CCC.
Held every fall in San Francisco, Java is the world's largest event. Recently it has been held at the same time as Oracle Open World. We rent out a few hotels near the Moscone Center and Union Square, where sessions are held everywhere from morning till night, not only about Java, but also about peripheral technologies and trendy technologies. Also, Japanese people have several sessions [^ 6]. The first opening session held at the Moscone Center is broadcast every year, so it will be early morning [^ 7] in Japan, but you can also listen to it. And there's a concert on the last night of JavaOne, and I think it's fun just to attend it, so if you're interested, please join us.
The JavaOne conference is expanding to create a new, bigger event that’s inclusive to more languages, technologies and developer communities. Expect more talks on Go, Rust, Python, JavaScript, and R along with more of the great Java technical content that developers have come to expect. We’re calling the new event Oracle Code One, October 22-25 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
