This is the procedure for doing it on a clean Amazon Linux 2.
OS: AmazonLinux2 (Linux version 4.14.193-149.317.amzn2.x86_64) python: Python 2.7.18
curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py -o get-pip.py
python get-pip.py
pip install sqlacodegen pymysql
sqlacodegen mysql+pymysql://user:password@sqlhost/dbname
option: --outfile --tables This will output the SQLAlchemy definitions for all tables to standard output
The official website says to use ʻoursql, but in this environment the following error occurs, so use
pymysql`.
