[RUBY] rails code doesn't respond well in atom erb

I'm a beginner studying ruby on rails. After finishing all of ruby on rails of progate, I wrote the code myself, but when I added <%> to index.html.erb, all the following html code stopped responding. What should I do in such a case? I'm writing code in atom.
