IntelliJ, or a commentary page for beginner editors. This page summarizes the most important functions and shortcuts. All listed shortcuts are for Windows.
Convenient functions you should definitely remember
King of shortcut keys (I personally think). I definitely want you to remember this. You can also use Word or Excel.
This is a function called Undo. It will act like “Cancel your work”. It works by pressing Ctrl and Z at the same time (hereinafter referred to as
Ctrl+Z). If you press it many times, you can go back and cancel the work.
I accidentally erased it! But press
Ctrl+Z to restore!
I made a mistake and copied too much! But with
Ctrl+Z, it’s back!
Rewind too much by pressing
Ctrl+Z too much! In that case, you can cancel “Undo” by pressing
###·Copy and Paste
That’s what people call copy and paste. A strong ally of Internet users. You don’t have to right-click and select from the menu
Paste: It works with
Select the range and press
Ctrl+C. Select the place to paste and press
Ctrl+V. For those who do it with the mouse, it is also good.
###・Code completion This is one of the biggest reasons why IntelliJ is used. If you hit a word halfway, it will do predictive completion for that word.
Type a letter to see a list of words that begin with that letter. Select the word you want with the up and down keys and press the
Enter key. It will describe the word automatically. Note that if you use it too much, you will not be able to write the code yourself.
###** ・Live template**
This function is similar to code completion, but more convenient if you get used to it.
When I typed
sout and pressed
Enter, the string was converted to
System.out.println();. Besides this, it also converts a predetermined character string into a predetermined sentence. I will introduce it with importance ★4, but you can add and edit it yourself.
###・Display of the part that causes an error The red look makes it easy to understand and points out the wrong place. Is it mainly due to capitalization, misspellings, periods and missing semicolons?
That’s all for the convenience functions of importance level 5. ★4 introduces more convenient settings, so please take a look. IntelliJ IDEA Convenient Function for Beginners (Importance ★4)
