CentOS 7 (2003) installation failed I tried to install with win10 and dual boot on 30GB of unallocated space An error occurs as soon as I select a partition on the installation screen It became a disposition that only the installation interruption can be selected.
Even if you press Finish without selecting anything from the partition selection screen, an error will occur. Apparently there is a problem on the installer side.
The download / installation environment is as follows URL:http://ftp.tsukuba.wide.ad.jp/Linux/centos/7.8.2003/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-2003.iso USB:8 GB (FAT32) (Use Rufus for ISO writing)
The file size is also the DVD version (4.5GB), so there seems to be no problem. (I feel that the file size of the initial OS of centOS is larger than that of Ubuntu. Files close to 9GB definitely do not fit on DVD. Even USB is surprisingly small in size. Probably centOS 8 already assumes DVD installation It seems that the installation that was done is excluded. It is basically using the server, and it seems that the rationalization of the installation file that becomes garbage even if it is installed once is progressing .... Ubuntu is still kind)
The only possible reason is that I used FlashGet to download centOS. This FlashGet is software that finishes downloading large files at high speed, The file is divided and downloaded to another server, and the fragment file is combined on one's PC to achieve high speed. As a result, you may encounter unexpected errors if the connection is not properly formed.
Therefore, although it takes time, download the above centOS again with Chrome's standard downloader. I installed it with Rufus, but this time the boot loader is not installed and it does not start .... orz
So, I made a centOS USB with Unetbootin Unetbootin:http://unetbootin.github.io/ However, this was also useless.
Next, create a boot USB using Etcher. balenaEtcher:https://www.balena.io/etcher/ This software is overwhelmingly fast in writing speed. However, the created USB will not be recognized by Windows. I was able to boot successfully, but in the end the same error as the first one occurred.
