About Linux environment construction (CentOS)
Describes how to download Centos.
① Open https://www.centos.org/ and click CentOS Linux
② Click ISO X86_64
③ Anything is fine, so click the path. (The top is fine)
④ Download the file with the extension iso. It takes a lot of time.
⑤ After the download is completed, let's start CentOS.
Open Virtual Box and click New (N)
⑥ Please set the type and version as shown in the image.
The name can be anything. Is it okay to specify a folder under the user as the machine folder?
⑦ Memory is also the default, next
⑧ Select Create virtual hard disk and click "Create"
⑨ File type is VDI Next
⑩ Select variable size and go to the next
⑪ Set the folder and go to create
⑫ Set the adapter.
Open Settings / Network / Adapter 2 and make the settings as shown in the image.
⑬ Set iso.
Add the downloaded ISO file to Settings / Storage / IDE Controller.
⑭ Let's start CentOS.
After launching, a black screen will appear and the settings will be made.
The rest is various settings. Let's do various things around there when we meet in person.
- Since there is a user concept, it will be a good learning opportunity.
