I passed Java Silver today, so I would like to write about my impressions.
[Why I decided to study] 1 Currently working at SES. Currently 4 months. I studied Java in the training, but I realized that I didn't have the basics, so I wanted to study it systematically.
I wanted something that would appeal to me during the two interviews, so I decided to take a qualification.
[Study period] Less than 2 months I started studying around January, so I think it's about this.
[Study time] Mainly commuting time. Round trip about 2h. I don't study on Saturdays and Sundays. From the middle of February, I had almost no work on site, so I was able to study for about 4 or 5 hours at the site.
I think the estimated study time is about 100 hours.
[How to study] I was repeating the problem of Kuromoto. As for the pace, I will repeat Chapter 3 in about 1 to 2 weeks. Example: It feels like chapters 1 to 3 in the first week and chapters 4 to 6 in the second week. I will do the part that I do not understand for another week.
Ask questions on weekdays and write code on Saturdays and Sundays to understand the questions. The total review was also done on Saturdays and Sundays.
[Score] Passed border 65% Score 84%
To be honest, I thought I was able to get more than 90%, but I'm glad I passed.
[To those who will receive it] What I learned from taking the exam is that if you can get 90% of the total finish of Chapters 10 to 11 of Kuromoto, you can pass.
Most of the problems were similar. Most of them differed only by changing the variable name a little, so if you want to take it quickly, you may try to take the exam only by finishing it.
There was a time when I couldn't solve the sample problem on Oracle's official website, but most of the problems that actually appeared were the contents that I studied in the final stage.
Please do your best for those who are going to take the exam.
